Thanks for your reply.

It was the inspiration for carry out an investigation about the issue of the
range problem of 'gs ... tiffg3 (faxg3), ... InputFile= ... .pdf'.
Below you can find a simple solution.

Operating Systems:
Windows XP (Scanner Mustec BearPaw 6400 TA Pro) and Linux OpenSuse 10.2

Used images:
Scanned images edited with an older version of Windows 'picture it 9'
Problem is one 'png'-File (not special 'picture it' png) scanned and stored
with Windows 'Picture it 9'.
An Image for about more than 600 dpi (exactly 600,1) and with margin of format
A4 a little bit higher.
- 4961 x 6942 pixel
- depth 32 bpp
- Kompression Huffman (Deflate)
Reduction of a few pixel and correction of the margins doesn't solve the
problem.

Input for 'gs' was a multiple page 'pdf'-format generated with OOo-Writer or
OOoDraw, ... (page margins i.e. set to zero or more). Multiple pages were
edited with insertion of scanned images (format png, one for a page).

Troubleshooting:
Storage of the image with another format i.e. 'tif' and not with 'png' 'by
picture it 9' and insertion of the image in 'tif'-format.
Now generation of 'pdf'-file with OOo and 'gs' converts without missing pages.

Many Thanks
