Hi Trevor,
I tried the Font Wizard to test the problem. It didn't work for me
either. I'm using Windows XP Pro.
With a bit of checking I found the following is one of the sites which
has the fonts.

I downloaded the AllMsFonts.zip just to check if you may face further
problems.
Checking the zip file you will see it contains exe files, which I would
guess are not likely to run on a Mac. I don't know what are in the other
zip files.
I tested the andale.exe program and it installs the font directly into
the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder in Windows XP. I picked this font as it was
not installed on my computer. I didn't want to run the Verdana program
as I already have verdana installed and didn't want to create a
potential issue.
If you have a Windows machine which doesn't have the Verdana fonts, you
could run the program and then possibly manually install the files on
your Mac.
I hope this helps.
