Typically my documents are not simple ones. They have multiple plots, a few tables, cross-references etc. Its hard to expect formatting to remain unbroken even between different MS office versions, let alone between a moving target like MS Office and OpenOffice (which Microsoft probably intentionally breaks compatibility with it). Cross references especially are completely messed up in MS Office. I typically write my document without figures in Writer, copy it over to the VM, fire up Word and finalize the document. Its a two step process, but it works. Anyways, is there a way to embed a flash movie in a Writer document ? I mean in a way other than using JMF (I have tried setting it up but its no use). I am looking for a portable solution so that the odt document appears the same no matter where I look at it, without any assumptions beyond availability of a shockwave flash plugin at the target machine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
