BlankI recently downloaded and installed Open office 2.2. I had two reasons
for doing this.
1) to move away from Microsoft
2) I could not get MSWord to recognize my scanner, Epson Precision 610.

The scanner works perfectly with Paint Shop Pro 5.1. Word wanted me to
install something from the install disks and then would not recognize the
disks even though it is the same set of disks I installed from.

After installing OO Writer I attempted to access the scanner and even though
the documentation says that scanners can be accessed via Twain, it does not.

I am at somewhat of a loss. What do I do next? I am a novice with the OOo
programs.

Thank you
