Kword (1.6.2) does nicely for text, but not graphics. I've not
tried Evince, does it also include the graphics?

If you have Kword, your are also likely to have Ksnapshot (on a
KDE desktop). The latter will allow you to take snapshots of the
graphics and save them as .png files.

Nah, I can already handle PDF graphics with no problem simply by cut &
past, I was just wondering if Evince pulls in both the formated text and
graphics.
I have used the cli tool, pdfimages in the past to extract images.
