I was using a database to create envelopes, and somehow I clicked on something and now it will not let me use my database. It goes directly to print. Can you help me figure this out.

The only way to get the pop-up window back, is editing the prop oor:name="AskForMerge" in Writer.xcu in the user registry path.:

All this editing of thw xcu file is very difficult for the average user.

Altough there is no need for ALL settings to be accessible through the GUI,
I think it would be nice if a settings dialog (like the about:config in Firefox, and thunderbird) could be implemented. Would make things easier, without having to make the Tools -> Options lists even longer for settings that the average user will never need to change.

Agree.
Pls see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=51906
There's also another work around: add an extra button with Tools|Customize.

Best,
Cor
