A very long time ago, I used MS Word and MS Excel all the time. When using
its autocorrection I was allowed to include things like fonts, size etc, so
I could make things like a P with a ring around it, just like an (r), but a P
instead of R. You can see this character on almost every CD etc.
Unfortunately it seems like the (P) is only available in the Webdings font
(I know it's supposed to be included in ordinary unicode fonts, but
obviously I don't have any of those installed. With Word (and Excel I think)
I could just let the format of one (or more) character be included in the
autocorrect list.

I thought I could do that in OpenOffice.org too, since there is a Text Only
check box, but even if I uncheck it, it doesn't seem like the format is
included. How is this supposed to work? Is it a bug or is there just not a
feature like that in OpenOffice.org yet? Word 97 has it... =)

In the (P) example, I can make it happen, but I have to manually change the
font to Webdings, otherwise it will only be a square.

I wish OpenOffice.org would do the following when I (and this is only an
example) entered (P):
1. Replace (P) by the U+F0E8 character.
2. Apply the Webdings to that character.
3. Make sure that the font is set back to whatever it was before, for the
following characters.

If the paragraph style is changed for that particular paragraph, it would be
nice if the font didn't change for that particular character.

Any thoughts about this?
