To NoOp: It is obvious that you are not up to date on how IBM sold Linux users down the drain,by selling the only voice dictation program to ScanSoft/Nuance, which dropped Linux support immediately! I am answering this e-mail on when does using voice dictation, which enables me to type my voice and save my arthritis. I am able to use open office, the latest version, and sea monkey for e-mail using voice dictation, which is completely missing from Linux! As of today, I have gotten rid of my Linux box. So any questions or information will be screened in on my end for relationship to Windows ,only!

To All: I enjoy OOo as a program, but do not enjoy anything IBM; I had hoped this would be the year I would switch to Linux full time, but with no voice dictation available I cannot do so, and now with the other problems that are daily associated with Linux, such as the need to be a programmer of some sort, it just is not worth it! I'm not sure exactly what betrayal you are talking about; seems to me
that IBM are doing significant work in accessabilty and open source:

Perhaps are you referring to IBM selling ViaVoice off to Nuance? If so,
I seem to recall that this did not include the linux portion, so perhaps
IBM will dust off the code & release as open source to counter the MS
Vist offering.

So how is this related to OOo? It isn't; how's about this moving to the
discussion list instead.
