1. downloaded appropriate openoffice binary from openoffice.org (i.e. openoffice for 10.4.x, powerPC platform). 2. From downloaded file, mounted disk image and dragged OpenOffice.org 2.2into my applications directory. 3. First time I double lanuch openoffice.org, I get the two windows prompting me to load system and user loaded fonts. 4. X11 xterm then launches. Openoffice2.log at this time reads "2007-04-29 18:45:54 (Scripts/main) Running OpenOffice.org" 5. xterm remains, but openoffice then disappears from the dock. The readme says I need a third party window manager like KDE or gnome. is the X11 library not sufficient? --b On 4/29/07, Dan Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Sunday April 29 2007 8:16 pm, Ben Newman wrote: > > All, > > > > I have successfully installed X11 and routinely run a multitude of > > x apps on my Powerbook G4 running 10.4.
