Hi Guy,
Thanks for your help. I got it to work. As an ordinary user (not very
technical) I find the how-to information a little hard to understand.
For example:
1.1 Installing X11
What is X11 ? : a graphic server that displays clients. Given that X11
uses a network protocol to
opreate, the display can be done from a remote location or from a local
one. Notice that some
Mac users often use the term emulator, which is not proper.
This may be ordinary language for you, but for me it's foreign. I have
only a vague understanding of what it means. I'm so spoiled by the
Mac/Apple and how easy everything works, that I stumble over technical
directions.
Thanks for your help and I appreciate the offer of OpenOffice!!!! Great
product suite for the anti-Microsoft person.
Martha :)

Hello Martha,
I agree that the How-To is sometimes rather complicated and difficult
to understand for most people. Some time ago I started translating it
into Ducth, but finally gave up because there were too many things I
didn't understand myself. Maybe we users could write a dummies version
of it...
Glad that you got it installed nevertheless!
You're welcome with more questions, but please address them to the
list, [email protected], so other people may try and help you too.
