[users] Dates change automatically in writer

I am using version 2.2 of OpenOffice.org. I have learned through the
help system how to turn off the automatic changing of the date on
formatted documents in Writer. Do I really have to do this on EACH
document, or is there a way to correct this issue for all at one time?
