I am guessing that you are running the SuSE variant of OOo :( If I am
correct, my first recommendation is dump it and install the current
(2.2.0) "official" version, which can be downloaded from the OOo
website. Others have no problems with the (outdated) variant supplied on
the SuSE 10.2 DVD, but for me it was just one hassle after another.

SuSE have made a number of changes in their OOo variant. One of which is
the removal of the dictionary wizard. Even if you decide against
installing the "official" version of OOo the following may help:
