I am using Mac OS X (Tiger) and have x11 installed.
Downloaded the latest Open Office 2.2 and followed the instruction,

Once I double-clicked the OO, it does not fire up. Nothing happen. I
can't quit OO although I can quit x11. I need to force-quit OO...and
it is reflected as droplet.

I tried re-installation of x11 and OO2.2...but it is still the same
problem. I very much wanted OO to work on my ibook.

Try deleting the configuration files before re-installing OOo. You
shouldn't have to re-install X11. In your home folder, delete the
hidden directory ".openoffice.org2" -- you will probably have to do
this from the Terminal or xTerm -- the command "rm -r
~/.openoffice.org2" should do it.

Also, delete any directories in your Library folder that have the name
"OpenOffice" -- you will find them in both Application Support and
Preferences.

If you are worried that this might cause problems, or you have some
setup information you don't want to lose, you can move those
directories to your Desktop instead of deleting them.

Hope this helps,
