You can create a "frame" and then build the table inside the frame.
Before you insert the table into the frame,
be sure your cursor is inside the frame.
You can then size, drag and drop the frame with the table inside
anywhere you want in a page.
Forgive me, but I've only been on OO for a very short time and have not
had a chance to play with it much
so if there is another workaround, I haven't found it yet.
