can you please tell me if there is a SOLVER-like utility (as in MS office's
Excel) in Open Office Calc programme?
i find this function extremely usefull and would be pleased to use it in OO
Calc document.
I look forward an info asap.

Without being familar with what solver does in Excel, you could check
out the following page to see if this is what your after:

It is still in the development stages, but there should be a package
that you can download and add to your current OOo install...
