If you have a stock installation of OOo from the openoffice.org websites, then. ">File >Wizards >Install New Fonts" If you use Ubuntu, or one of the other Linux distributions that insist that part of the customization process is to cripple OOo, the two major options are: * Downloading and installing the stock OOo from openoffice.org; * Downloading the source code for OOo, and adding the customizations that you want, then compiling it; [Customizations like adding l10n data for languages, or countries that OOo does not, and will not support/include for political reasons.] ###### a) You will also need to install dictionaries for the other languages that you write in. That can be done at ">File >Wizards >Install New Dictionaries". If you have 4GB RAM or more, and about three GB of disk space, and a 1Th chip, then installing all of the dictionaries for OOo is viable. If you don't, system performance degrades with each dictionary that is added. b) You will also need to create one set of language specific styles for each language that you create/edit documents in. c) Grammar Checking: Which grammar checker to install depends upon: * Which languages you want to use grammar checking in; * What your operating system is; * How much RAM you have; * How much disk space you have; * How fast your system is; My suggestion would be to keep a copy of _The King's English_ handy, for grammar checking British English, and the equivalent for the other languages that you write in. xan jonathon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
