Hi all, I downloaded Open Office setup files, but it appears that are corrupted. What is the matter? Following are links to downloaded files. I have XP OS, Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ, 0.99 RAM. Please help, ftp://openoffice.cict.fr/openoffice/stable/2.2.0/OOo-SDK_2.2.0_Win32Intel_install.exe ftp://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/software/openoffice//stable/2.2.0/OOo_2.2.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe Best regards BEN-AMMAR Cherif Junior IT Engineer
Bonjour Cherif •What makes you think your download is corrupted? What error messages did you get? •On Windows, it's often the anti-virus or firewall that sabotages installation (solution: disconnect from internet, disable anti-virus etc., install OOo, restart anti-virus etc., reconnect with internet). •The first link you mention seems to be a software development kit, not the user program. If you go to the page, you'll find the user program further down the list (6th or 7th before last): ftp://openoffice.cict.fr/openoffice/stable/2.2.0/ •You can check whether a download is OK using the md5sum (see at the bottom of the green rectangle on: http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.0/index.html If you like, you can post questions at the French users list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ake a look at the French OOo pages http://fr.openoffice.org You can download a French version from this site. Bonne chance -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
