I just ran a check on my Windows partition of my hard drive. I
have the full suite installed. If I were to remove all but Writer, I
would only save 28 MB.
Just to clear up another point, Writer does not represent a large
portion of the code of the whole package. The core component has that
distinction. Writer only represents approximately 6 MB of the total
34 MB used by the individual modules. The core uses all but 34 MB of
the total.
