If I change from Microsoft Office to OpenOffice do I have to use Outlook
Express for my mail or have you got something similar as Microsoft Outlook
with Tasks and Calendar?
I would suggest a good email client to replace Outlook would be Thunderbird.
There is a Thunderbird extension that supports calendar entries/tasks called
lightning.

Please note however that there are no email clients currently that integrate
with writer in the way that word and Outlook do.
