I am using the 2.0 version of openoffice. However, I've downloaded Microsoft Office Word as well, and would prefer Word to be my primary word processing program. My problem is that when I create a document in Word, it is saved in Open Office, which doesn't have some of the editing features of Word. The question is how do I make Word the primary without removing OpenOffice? Thanks, R. Smith, JR.
Maybe you need to explain this situation a little more fully, because MS Word does not have the ability to save a document in OpenOffice format even if you wanted it to. Thus, your statement that you create a document in Word, but it is saved in OpenOffice, just doesn't seem like it could be the situation. Thus, there has to be something that is missing from your explanation as to what is happening.
