To all who can help..
I intend to compile a book using various extracts from different sites.
They are all different as regards fonts etc. I presume this book,
including
numerous coloured pix and diagrams, will run to a couple of hundred pages.
Any suggestions as how to go about it. I am using OOo2.2Writer. Although
I ain't an expert but i can handle the prog quite well.
Thanks folk.

Writer is what I used to publish my book, "Penguin in the Pew". I did not
use the master document, but rather one long document (240 pages. I highly
recommend learning about styles. Also plan what fonts you will use in your
book - make sure you follow James' instructions on Paste Special. Utopia is
a nice font for paper, but for on-line use, you will prefer a non-serif
font. Also, get familiar with the Document navigator and how to create the
ToC. You will find the Navigator a phenomenal tool to use in a lengthy
document, especially since you plan to use diagrams and pics. The OOo site
has several documents to help you with learning paragraph and page styles.
These will be crucial!!!

Trust me when I say "styles are everything" in OOWriter.

Publish to PDF, but definitely check the final results two or three times!

Don
