What program is your teacher trying to open the attachment with?
- Is the teacher using OpenOffice or are they using Microsoft Office.
If they are using Microsoft Office, maybe they can try OpenOffice (it is
free).
What format are you sending the attachment as?
- Did you send the files as an OpenOffice file? If so, the teacher
needs to use OpenOffice to read the file. If the teacher won't use
OpenOffice, then you need to send the file in either pdf or Microsoft
closed formats. You can save your files in Microsoft's formats but you
may lose some formatting. I prefer to send pdf files if I can.
If you cannot open the attachment, it could be a setting in your mailer.
What program are you using for your mailer?
- Some mailers have a problem with attachments. It has been reported on
other lists about problems with certain programs and attachments. I
read a lot of problems with attachments and Outlook.
