     If you are using Windows, use Start > All Programs > 
OpenOffice.org. This should take you to the folder containing all of 
the icons for OOo. Right click the icon you want on the desktop, and 
drag and drop it where you want it. When you release the mouse 
button, a menu pops up. Select the choice which creates a shortcut.
