I'm doing this everyday and I never had problem. Try checking language setting on "Page"
You might need to change a language setting, option -> language settings -> languages, and you'll see second box where you can specify Asian language, and you'll want to set it in Japanese. You can do that similar procedure by changing formatting of the text from format menu, if you do not always write in Japanese.
