Hi
When trying creating (what we call) a banner (1) we came to a problem.
I'll talk you though it:

(1) For instance the words "Happy Birthday" spanned over more than one
page then stuck together to create on long piece of paper.

Creating a banner using regular text, changing the text direction and
increasing the font size to push the text onto another page worked fine.
Each character was placed within the page margin and not 'cut' it was
either on one page or the other.. never in the margin/non printable
area.

But then teachers rarely want to do "regular text" they want to be able
to do like M$ office (A.K.A with Wordart). So, we say hello to
"fontwork".

We create a new fontwork, replace the fontwork text with the text we
want to display on the banner ("2T Storm Hydrograph"), change the
direction, stretch the size..

First problem (maybe a little picky granted) resizing the fontwork
doesn't automatically go onto another page, unless you create a page
break. So thats what we do..

Next we try resizing again this time (with the 2nd page there) the
fontwork does spread over to the other page.

Good, we now have 2 pages and the banner text spanning those two pages.

So we print.... but wait some of the banner text doesn't appear (the
'y' in "Hydrograph"). The fontwork has used the margin/non-printable
area of the page. so we end up with something that looks a bit like "2T
Hvdrograph" with the 'y' looking like a 'v'.

OK, so add some whitespace after the 'H' that way the white space will
be in the margin.... but try sticking the two pages together. The 'H'
ends up far higher than the 'y' and it just looks terrible.

Is there any way round this or will I be plagued with teachers claiming
a moral victory over open source and a reason to dump a perfectly good
setup in favour of M$ Office.
