I sell the software on a CD with the PDF documentation
and as many samples I could find.
I sell it for $10 and the profit goes to a charity.
Yes you are buying a free software, but you
are paying for "not" spending the time downloading
the software and all of the other files. Many people
have slow internet access and downloading 431Meg
(1794 files in 55 folders) would take al large amount
of time.
I would not want to download 431Meg using standard dial-up.
How long would it take to down that on dial-up???
Would you pay someone to download it and creat a CD
instead of you taking the hours to download it yourself?
And burn it yourself
You are paying for his/my time downloading and burning
the CDs. The cost of the CD, jewel case, labels, the equipment
used, the time / man-hours doing the work. Plus for me the
working hours at a table in a park or building for a event
or show.
It is legal to sell the software since he/me puts the time
and materials into the package we sell.
(sorry about the length, I worked today from 8:30am to 5:30pm
at a table at a Memorial Day event, plus the setup and tear down.
I am not "all there" or completely "right in the head" after the event.
Also I got my first sunburn of the year.)

• OpenOffice.org is an open source project, it can be downloaded for
free from www.openoffice.org.
• I still do not see what your Diploma software has to do with
OpenOffice.org. It is possible that this DiplomaDR company uses OOo to
let you make "lost diploma replacements"
• OpenOffice.org is free, but its LGPL licence (see
http://www.openoffice.org/license.html) says the program can be sold.
• If you have problems using this DiplomaDR program, you should
contact them to help you use it, since you paid them for this.
