A pps file of 48 fairly high resolution pictures is of file size 3 MB.
Running this under OO.o 2.2 Impress slide show is unbearably slow on my
machine. It takes more than 60 seconds to load each picture. The
machine is otherwise reasonably fast. The Task Manager says CPU use is
100% until the next image appears when the CPU ussage drops to 10% or
so. There is 308,800 K Physical RAM still available. My machine: XP
SP2, 1G RAM, 330 MHz back plane, 1.8 Ghz Sempron.
Is this a known problem? Is there a fix or I should file a bug?
Would someone would take a look for me to see what it will do on your
system? Note that the file contains nude images.
BTW I extracted a pdf from OO.o that runs at a quite satisfactory pace
under Acrobat 7.
