might be a better solution.

Hello

I'm not so sure NeoOffice is a better solution, be it that it doesn't
need the X11 windowing application to function on a Mac. NO is a fork
of OpenOffice.org: a small team of people uses the free OOo code to
make a more Aqua-like version.

NO will become obsolete as the volunteers of the OOo Mac Porting team,
now assisted by two engineers from Sun, are almost ready to bring out
the first testing version of a native OpenOffice.org for the Mac. In a
few weeks or months, a stable version will probably be available
(always for free) from the OOo mac-porting website
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac

In the mean time, it isn't such a tough job to get OOo installed on a
mac... Just read the How-To and install X11 and OOo. There are
different versions of X11 for Panthers and Tigers (Mac OS X 10.3 and
10.4), and different versions of OOo for PPC and Intel Macs. Read and
download here:
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11.html

Good luck
