I've not looked lately, but I am very certain that you can print tiled
posters from Adobe Reader (I've done it in the past) and I'm also
somewhat certain that you can create a poster in OOo, export it to a PDF
and do the same. I'll have a look later, but it shouldn't be rocket
science to do so...
