Hi,

I'm a Chinese and I happen to have both OO and Microsoft Office in my work
PC. I checked the attached document in your mail and don't found much
difference between OO and MS. They both displays in the manner of
ChineseTextWrapOO.PNG. Therefore I don't know exactly what your problem is.
I think I could provide my working environment for you as a reference:

OS: Windows XP English version with Chinese IME
Microsoft Office: 2003 SP2(I don't use MS Office much so I'm not clear about
the version)
Open Office: 2.1

Thank you for reply.

Sorry for my ignorance about Chinese language. Before I put the post I made simple test by copy/paste the text from notepad into OO and MS Word application and I noticed that there is difference as on screen shots. My college (who is not Chinese) told me that MS Word behaves more appropriate than OO then I decided to post this issue and ask what I'm doing wrong. After all when I put the post I made more tests regarding to the text wrapping in MS Word. Now I cannot reproduce the same wrapping in MS Word on new document as well :) it behaves the same as OO. What I have done more is I installed Chinese (PRC) - Simplified Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0 keyboard. Moreover I noticed that on MS Word document which I was previously created when I edit it and use Chinese (PRC) keyboard and start typing then the current wrap is changed (same as OO on the screen shot). I don't understand this behaviour.

Anyway, can you write me if there is possible to do the following wrapping in OO of the text below:

zhong [space] hua [space] [space] ren [space] min [space] gong [space] he [space] guo [space]
The extra space after /hua/ is where the word wrap is expected to take.

My questions are:
1. How to achieve it in OO?
2. Does such wrapping make any sense in Chinese?

Thanks in advance,
Sylwek
