More observations: - My locale on the OS is en_US.iso8859-1. - I'm using CDE as my windowing system. - The UI language as specified within staroffice8/OO is STANDARD which fallback to en_US. I have tested to change this to sv_SE but the result is the same as before. - I can enter the "aring" character by using the key sequence "Compose","a" and "*".
