     You need to open it again in OpenOffice.org. Then use 
File > Save As to save it in Excel's format. Once the Save As window 
is opened, change the File type dropdown list from 
OpenDocument Spreadsheet (.ods) to Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP (.xls).
Then click save.
