OpenOffice does not remove other applications. If MS Office is not on your computer, it likely wasn't there to begin with. There is no reason to remove OpenOffice, in order to use MS Office, if MS Office is in fact on your computer. However, you uninstall it, as you would any other app, using the Install/Remove software utility in the Control Panel.
