OpenOffice developers, I wish to think you for the past opportunities to use OpenOffice. Over the years, I have looked forwared to each new version with excitement. However, I must now inform you that I can no longer use OpenOffice. It is with a heavy heart that I make this choice. After downloading the latest version, I installed it and it promptly and completly ruined my existing installation of Microsoft Office 2003. Not one single MSoffice application would run correctly. I tried to perform the repair feature and then reinstall without success. In a last-ditch effort I performed a restore point and was then able to use MS Office, however, with problems. As it stands now, I am no longer able to install other Microsoft products due to some sort of missing installer package or some such thing. I presume I will now have to completely format my harddrive and reinstall everything.
I may use OpenOffice again, but it will have to be in a partitioned environment, completely isolated from MS Office. Larry Gordon CACI
