Allen, in the event you have a reliable broadband connexion to the internet,
I strongly suggest you return the CD (?), get your money back, and then
procede to the native languages page at OpenOffice.org (
http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html), choose your preferred
language, and download OO.o. I have recently downloaded the Swedish-language
version of OOo 2.2 to a Vista partition on my computer, and it was a snap.
Buy yourself and your friends a few beers with those 47USD, instead !...

I know caveat emptor is out there, but do you mean some people out there
are now selling this on a "trial" basis?  What's next, subscriptions?
