Hi,

As I remember, OO in version 1.X could mail merge data from several type of
files : text, spreadsheet, dbase, writer, etc.

Now, in version 2.X, I write a letter, choose a data file, print the letters,
save the letter file, exit OO and, when I open again OO and the letter file,
I can no longer print the letters. I've have to establish again the data
file. In my case this was a Calc spreadsheet.

Doing some home work, I discover that OO converts temporarily the data file to
a OO database (that is saved under the tmp dir of OO), deletes it on exit,
but keeps the name given to that data file in his list of databases; altought
the physical file does no longer exists.

Is it possible, in this version of OO to establish the data file on a mail
merger document and forget it, meaning, that each time you open that document
you have the data file attached to it?
