Actually I used to use it when I used MS on my system.  Not that bad. 
The only thing that really kept me from using it when I left college was
the price. I hope my sarcasm wasn't all that dry.

My recommendations for Thunderbird come from the fact that I rarely need
the PIM features that come with Evolution, not to mention my own
subjective tastes.  Plus, keep in mind that Evolution for Windows is
still relatively new.  That's not to knock Evolution by the  way, merely
pointing out that it may still be a rare client for the Windows world,
and I don't think all these people who are looking to change their
office software are also wanting to dump their OS at the same time.
