Hi I am enquiring to weather open office is compatible with windows 2007. We have a customer that has Open Office and the want to open a document in Microsoft Office 2007 is that possible.
Can OOo be loaded onto a machine that already has Office 2007 - yes. Does OOo currently support the new Office 2007 file formats - no. There is a filter that is available (don't have the link - you'll have to google for it) which can be added which converts 2007 office file formats to odf - I believe. Subsequent OOo releases will have, I'm sure, this capability built in.
