sorry to bother you folks, I tried to register in the 8 days a week .co.uk but the page that the zip code was on came up at first (I thought it was for admin purposes) ... but then the page with the zip code did not come back. The reason I tried to register in the first place is because I am running Ubuntu 6.10 and open office and i forgot the password in one of the files that I need. I have been in linuxquestions.org repeatedly posting stuff, but I am yet to find a solution. I can send you the file I think, I would appreciate some help. I am running a HP zv5000, ubuntu 6.10 I am a newbie thank you for your time ~
So you want to access a file that you have created using OOo (and is in ODF format) and password protected ? The only option you really have is using a brute force password cracker ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Password_cracking). There are some avaialable on the net (google for them). OOo security is much stronger than MS Office and there is no method that is currently known of circumventing the password protection. /paul -- Processing Key for cracking HD DVD's: 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 ----- Try Torpark; a small portable, open-source, built on Firefox browser that enables anonymous browsing.
