Brian and all,

OK, I understood that you have done work for creating a PDF file from
an ODF file, and you need a quick and easy solution to create a
single-XML ODF file.

Unfortunately, I don't know easy ways to create a single-XML ODF
file...as you know, the solution I've shown is not an easy way and all
users who want to convert files need to install OpenOffice.org in
their PC. However, there is an example called "FlatXml" in
OpenOffice.org SDK examples, so could you take a brief look at that?

You can download the OpenOffice.org SDK (including developer's guide
and examples) here:
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sdk/

And I found a sample implementation at the OpenOffice.org web site.
This is an OpenOffice.org extension, so you can install it (select
"Tools" > "Extension Manager..." on the menu of OpenOffice.org).

I think the "ODF Toolkit" can be a useful library for such a
requirement. Unfortunately (again), it is now under development...
