Hello,

I have to say that, of all vendors, especially one that offers freeware, you
re rapid response is VERY welcome and much appreciated.

It is FAR FAR above that of Verizon & Microsoft, 2 of the top vendors in
their area.

I will NEVER use MS Office, I am now a devoted fan of Open Office.

Please check the md5sum of the file you downloaded to verify that it was
not corrupted during the download. Instructions for checking the md5sums
is located here:
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/using_md5sums.html
The actual md5sums for 2.2.1 are located here:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/md5sums.html

You don't state what error you receive - can you please post back to
[email protected] with the exact error? Was it an NSIS error? If so,
NSIS errors can occur when installing any downloaded programs - see:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22NSIS+Error%22 for examples.
Generally NSIS errors happen if the download is corrupt, if you have
problems with your anti-virus program, or if you have operating system
problems. Please have a look at:
http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Why_do_I_get_NSIS_Error
for things you can do to eliminate the error.
