Now please guide me about license issue.
http://www.openoffice.org/license.html OOo is distributed using the GNU Lesser General Public License. In brief, that means that you can use it however you like, for whatever purpose you like, provided the people you distribute it to are not subject to restraints other than those in the license itself. I do suggest that you have your Intellectual Property Rights Attorney go through the GNU LGPL, and then go through the licenses of the other software (including operating systems) to determine that there are no conflicts between them, and the GNU LGPL. Or between any the licenses of the software that you currently are using.
Is it a freeware?
"Freeware" is defined as software that is proprietary, but distributed for gratis. OOo is FLOSS ( Free Libre Open Source Software) As such, it fails the criteria of being proprietary, and hence is not freeware. OOo can be distributed for gratis. xan jonathon -- OOo can not correct for incompetence in creating documents from MSO. Furthermore,OOo can not compensate for the defective and flawed security measures used by Microsoft. As such, before using this product for exams that require faulty and defective software, ensure that you will not be unjustly penalized for the incompetence of the organization that requires the use of software that is known to be flawed, defective, bug-ridden, and fails to meet ISO file format standards. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
