So, what you are really saying is no Windows Vista and older 
versions of Windows do not understand Linux shell commands but 
Linux shell commands can be used on Windows in spite of not 
understanding them when one installs Cygwin. Just wanted to make 
sure that was clear. Did not want any one to get the idea that 
Windows could understand Linux shell commands. ;)
