or lower down that page are potential suppliers of CD-Roms whiach are
usually in the $5-10 range? And will be version 2.2.1?

Another method is to look at computer magazines which often include OOo
on a CD/DVD.

With regard to your question about PowerPoint, the component is called
"Impress" and can read PowerPoint files and produce compatible files
which _should_ be readable in MS PowerPoint.
