DSUM(range;column;criteria) So if for example your columns are headed SerialNo and Quantity and the range is A1:B7 (including column headings), in say C1 put 'SerialNo', in C2 the Serial Number to sum and in D2 put 'DSUM(A1:B7;2;C1:C2)' HTH -- It is often safer to be in chains than to be free.
