Your question should really be addressed to the authors of "Smartview". What I glean from the Oracle website, this software is exclusively Windows based and may possibly rely on Windows OLE and VBA for it's integration link with MS Office. OOo (OpenOffice.org) on the other hand is a multi-OS (eg. Solaris, Linux, etc.) program and uses a somewhat different structure for extensions and add-ons. In my view (could be wrong) it should be possible for "Smartview" to ingrate with OOo in a similar way. However, this is not something that can be done from the OOo side and realistically would require the "Smartview" developers to provide this functionality. The OOo source code and development tools are readily available to anyone who wants them, so the "Smartview" developers would have no difficulty in accessing the necessary information, if they chose to do so. Please address any reply to [email protected] only. It is unnecessary to Cc. me, because I receive a copy of all emails sent to this list. Dave
