For the attention of [EMAIL PROTECTED] You are providing very helpful information in answer to people's questions. However, you are yelling into a gale because most of the people to whom you are replying are not subscribed to this list and therefore can't hear you. By not copying the unsubscribed OP you are (a) wasting your own time and (b) wasting other volunteers' time who feel it polite to forward your replies to the OPs. Unsubscribed posters have "Delivered-To: moderator for [email protected]" in the headers of their messages; subscribed posters do not. In other words, messages from unsubscribed posters go via the moderator. Most mail readers will show the headers. With some you can filter on the Delivered-To header and thus flag such messages in some way. Some software and some methods of reading this list do not provide any facilities for even viewing let alone filtering the headers. IMHO such software/methods should be avoided by anyone who wants to contribute responses. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
