After starting with OpenOffice Version 1.5 and using it without any
problems I did upgrade to Version 2 when it became available and again
used it without any problems.
So when I got your general email titled "OpenOffice.org Release 2.2.1"
dated the 12th of June 2007 I followed the links to upgrade to the next
version. Though the download went without problem I couldn't install it
as it said, after "unpacking", that a file was missing. I reported this
- mistakenly - to the address from where the upgrade information came
from, a copy is attached, but then thought I'll have another go at
downloading this version. Same effect so I tried other sites where I
could download OpenOffice and the same thing again.
Thing is that before I "unpacked" and loaded Version 2.2.1 as a matter
of generally good housekeeping I uninstalled the previous version and
defragmented the C drive . . . so I didn't have my original copy to
continue using. This was then compounded when I went to your site to
download the version I had uninstalled,neither Version 2 nor 1.5 were
available . . . . so I'm now using Version 1 and you can imagine how I
feel about that?
So . . . what is going wrong and how do I get my download to find or
deal with "Internal Error 2755.110 . . . the following file is missing .
. . openofficeorg22.msi"?
I'm a firm believer of a non-Microsoft world and a user of ALL
alternatives wherever possible . . . and I miss your OpenOffice!

Hello,
Following your email to announce the availability of the above "stable"
issue of Open Office I decided to upgrade. First however and as I had
other applications to remove I un-installed the previous version I was
using and then de-fragmented my HDD, good house keeping I thought.
Though the package was downloaded successfully it would not install, so
I deleted the download and tried again twice more but always with the
same error report. After unpacking and asking for user details it
immediately presented the following after hitting the install button.
"Internal Error 2755.110 . . . the following file is missing . . .
openofficeorg22.msi"
I had been using version 2 with no problems but as you now stop any
downloading of that version I've had to download and install version
1.1.5 . . . hardly a step forward for me then?
What is the fault and how do I install the latest version?
