I noticed that in OpenOffice.org for Linux (Ubuntu 7.04 in my case), there is a Works option in the Open File - File type dialogue. However, I didn't try it since I don't have any Works files and I don't know if it can open a Works database. Maybe it only can open a Works text document, I don't know.
