Greetings, I have used openoffice for a while, and very good it is too. On 2nd July, ' a new version is available' appeared in the top right hand corner of the screen, and so I clicked it, downloaded the exe, and the process started. Then an error message Error: 1714, the file you want is on a disk or removable device.1, insert openoffice disk2.1
I found out thet the installation removed OO2.1 when I installed 2.2, and the latest update removed everything. No problem I thought to myself. "Self! Re-install 2.2!" Only I keep getting the same message error 1714. I am now completely stuck. I removed all OO files from my computer, re downloaded the installer from the web site, and tried a fresh install, but the same error 1714 keeps appearing. Help! Now OpenOffice-less! Thanks.
